Graduated the Pleven Medical University in 1991, and earned his specializations in general surgery and oncology. After his graduation, he began working at the Regional Hospital in Pavlikeni in the urgeency medical department, after which he began working at the surgical department. During the same period he completed two three month courses in the first surgical department of the general hospital Dr. Ralcho Angelov in Veliko Turnovo. In 1994, he began working in the gall bladder, liver, and pancreatic surgery clinic of the first surgery department of the university hospital Alexsandrovska as a senior resident and then as a chief resident. In 2002 Dr. Draganov successfully defended his doctoral thesis on the problems of surgical treatment of liver cirrhosis patients. He has been working at Tokuda Hopsital since its opening, and he is also deputy director of the medical activities at the General Surgery since January 12, 2007.
